Located in the heart of Eden Prairie, Bryant Lake Regional Park is a recreational hub amidst nature. It comprises of 170 acres of woodlands, wetlands and grasslands.

Purgatory Creek Park

A 155-acre preserve with a passive recreation focus, Purgatory Creek Park showcases ecological areas such as wetlands, woodlands and prairies. It also features more than two miles of formal trails.

A concrete bridge abutment still sits at the entrance to this park, remnant of the streetcar line that once carried riders across Purgatory Creek.

The park is a great spot for families, with a 2.4 mile loop trail that meanders through gardens and wetlands. It’s also home to a beautiful fountain and the Veterans Memorial.

Staring Lakes Outdoor Center

Eden Prairie is a great place to visit for a fun vacation with friends or family. It has plenty of attractions, including a shopping center with over 95 stores and special events throughout the year.

One of the most unique places to visit is the Staring Lakes Outdoor Center. This refurbished cabin on the north shore of Staring Lake has a wide range of activities and classes.

It also has a 700-foot sledding hill that is open and staffed during the winter season. You can also go fishing at Bryant Lake Regional Park which is on 170 acres of wetlands, grasslands and woodlands. It has an 18-hole disc golf course and a sand-bottom lake where you can swim or boat.

Lake Riley

Located in Eden Prairie, Lake Riley is a popular recreation area that offers boating, fishing and swimming. Its 170 acres are a mix of wetlands, grasslands and woodlands.

The park features an 18-hole disc golf course, walking trails, picnic and play areas, and a sand-bottom lake where swimming is permitted.

The park also boasts the Riley Lake Park Pavilion, which is available to Eden Prairie residents and businesses for rent April through October. It provides electricity and holds up to 16 picnic tables. A fantastic read.

Round Lake Park

Round Lake Park is a lake lover’s dream come true. Residents enjoy private access to a small lake, which is stocked with trout each spring.

There’s a lot to do at this park, including swimming and biking trails. It also features a skate park, sports fields and picnic areas.

Lions Tap Restaurant

Located in Eden Prairie, Lions Tap Restaurant is a popular place for people to visit. It serves a variety of food, including burgers.

This place is also known for its Sunday brunch. It serves excellent food and provides fast service.

Minnesota River Bluffs Bike Trail

The Minnesota River Bluffs Bike Trail offers a unique outdoor escape for biking, jogging, hiking and nature lovers. It features a variety of multi-use cross-country trails and dedicated bike trails with hard pack dirt and rock trails, as well as youth skill zones and expert-only jumps, gaps and drop features.

This 10.1-mile regional trail passes through Hopkins and Eden Prairie. It also offers views of Shady Oak Lake, Miller Park and Riley Lake Park before entering Carver County just south of Pioneer Trail/CR 1.

Paul Bunyan State Park

If you’re ready to get back to nature, the Paul Bunyan State Park is a great place to start. It has two quaint campgrounds that offer rustic camping and a close proximity to several lakes.

The campgrounds are open year-round and feature spacious sites amid tall pines, plus a few lake amenities. These campgrounds are a nice change from the crowds that can sometimes overwhelm you while camping.

The 119-mile Paul Bunyan State Trail, running from Bemidji to Brainerd, follows an inactive Burlington Northern railroad corridor built in 1893. The trail passes through boreal forests, along a network of rivers and streams and among meadows that often feature wildflowers in spring. Click for more info!
