1. Cliff Fen Park

Cliff Fen Park is one of Burnsville’s favorite parks for families to play in. The park has a large playground and splash pad, a walking trail through scenic wetlands, picnic amenities, and sports fields.

The park also boasts access to the Minnesota Valley Wildlife Refuge.

The new playground is one of the largest in the metro area and has a variety of play structures that will keep kids entertained for hours on end. It has a smaller area for toddlers, then a large structure for older kids, and several free-standing pieces.

2. Crystal Beach

Crystal Beach is an attractive destination for vacationers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. This laid-back, Southern coastal town offers 27 miles of pristine beach that is perfect for swimming, boogie boarding, fishing, and more!

4. Nicollet Commons Park

One of Burnsville’s most beloved parks is Nicollet Commons Park. Located within the Heart of the City development (126th Street and Nicollet Avenue), this park features a 250-seat amphitheater for concerts and events, open green space, and a dynamic water feature.

In addition to the amenities and activities, the Park is home to a public art element, “Centrifuge.” This large abstract sculpture was created by artist Geoff Martin ASLA. It combines bronze, sandstone, and red granite materials. 

5. Burnsville Center Mall

Burnsville Center Mall is one of Minnesota’s largest enclosed malls and features a wide range of retail, entertainment, and dining options. It is home to Dick’s Sporting Goods, Gordmans, Macy’s, and JCPenney.
